On July 27-28th Ella set up here Fearsome Heroes Lemonade Stand at the St. Charles County Veterans Museum.

Ella Mateja, eleven years old, has raised about $40,000.00 over the past five years for various veterans groups. This year, proceeds were to benefit the St. Charles County Veterans Museum and the Patriot Riders. The museum designated the proceeds to commission a painted titled “A Tribute to Women in the Military.”  The painting will depict women and their service from the Revolutionary War to Present day.

The painting will be an original by Linda Wilmes a local St. Charles County artist whose studio is in Wentzville MO.  This will be the second painting in the museum by Linda who previously painted a 4’ x 10’ mural titled “Five Wars.” The Tribute to Women in the Military will be dedicated in Spring of 2020.

In return for Ella’s contribution, the St. Charles County Veterans Museum presented an original sketch by Linda Wilmes depicting Ella serving a women soldier.

Thank you Ella, Suzanne, Chris and their whole family for all their hard work.
